Each generation of collegiate basketball players has iconic figures who leave lasting impacts both on and off the court. For UCLA, names like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Ann Meyers Drysdale, Bill Walton, Denise Curry, Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook lead the list of generational Bruins.
More recently, there's another memorable Bruin to highlight: Russell Stong IV. He didn't need to lead the team in scoring or make buzzer-beating shots to become one of the most beloved Bruins in recent history to step onto the court. Join us for our next UCLA Alumni Town Hall “From Walk-on to Pauley Pavilion Fan Favorite” where we’ll explore Stong’s inspiring path and rise to fame on campus.
Moderated by Paco Retana ’87, M.S.W. ’90, Vice President and President-Elect, UCLA Alumni Association, attendees will learn about…
• Russell's time as a student-athlete at UCLA
• His post-graduation life and experiences
• His desired legacy after leaving Westwood
• His future aspirations and goals
Register today and plan to attend this motivational town hall to learn more about Russell Stong IV, UCLA Men's Basketball, and what alumni can do to support future generations of Bruins.
