Jeffery Prager

Jeffrey Prager is a teacher whose strong personal involvement leads his students to an appreciation of perspectives and theories on a variety of current issues and institutions. An assistant professor in the department of sociology, his teaching methods are popular yet rigorous, theoretically focused yet contemporaneously relevant. Students in Prager’s courses are certain to be rewarded with a challenging experience that illuminates their understanding of the world.

A member of the UCLA faculty since 1977, Prager received his B.A. from Occidental College and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. He is the author of the forthcoming book: Democratic Stability in Ireland: Political Order and Cultural Integration in a New Nation.

Prager has been invited to be a member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, N.J. for the 1984 – 1985 academic year.
