Rita Wadhwani ’03, M.S.N. ’05

As a neonatal intensive care nurse, Rita Wadhwani has spearheaded several international teaching missions to provide needed technology and education to nurses and physicians in India. Wadhwani spent weeks of her vacation time and paid for her own airfare in order to volunteer her services to implement infection control procedures that have saved many lives.
Wadhwani serves as a liaison to India with the International Children's Health Foundation (ICHF). She assists and develops the team, while raising funds to bring ICHF to India to perform congenital heart surgery on children of lower socioeconomic status who would otherwise die. Through ICHF, Wadwhani has remained committed to saving as many young lives as possible in hopes that these children will one day mature into individuals who will help advance human society.
