Lucy Chen, a financial risk executive and certified Human Potential Coach, embodies the book's message of resilience. She arrived in the U.S. from China in 1994, for graduate school. After receiving an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from UCLA in 1996, she pursued a successful career, and is an active member of organizations dedicated to community empowerment.
