Sharpe Fellows Alumni and Employer Engagement
Since its inception in 2008, the Sharpe Fellows community has continued to grow and represent a variety of industries in and out of Business. Sharpe alumni are represented in all levels, from C-Suite to entry level. The UCLA Alumni Career Engagement team has created a data dashboard to illustrate the career pathways of our alumni, and the depth and breadth of our Sharpe Fellows community
Sharpe Alumni
Stay engaged in the Sharpe Fellows community by getting involoved. There are many ways that you can get involved:
- Serve on our Sharpe Fellows selection committees
- Hire a Sharpe Fellows for an internship or full-time position
- Host a trek to your office
- Serve as a mentor for a current cohort (Investment Banking, Consulting, Finance, and Technology)
- Connect at an upcoming networking night
- Host an alumni gathering in your local area

Employers
Hire a Sharpe Fellow for internships or full-time opportunities. Sharpe Fellows are trained by alumni in the industry, and candidates are pre-vetted by UCLA staff. From coffee chats to participation in our selection interviews and networking nights, we encourage employers and recruiters to get involved in our program. Sharpe Fellows cohorts represent investment banking, consulting, finance, and technology. Ancillary industries that have recruited well from our Sharpe Fellows community, includes Private Equity, Venture Capital, Wealth Management, and Product. Employers can engage with the Sharpe Fellows program by:
- Participating in Selection interviews
- Connecting with candidates with coffee chats and networking nights
- Host students with an office visit
- Work with staff to share internship and full-time hiring timelines
- Sponsor international students
- Provide classroom engagement in Bruin Development Academies (Investment Banking/Finance or Consulting/Technology)
